Speaking of paramilitary. Here is an interesting news article on the Guardian website, with regards to a 29 years old Dutch woman name Eillen, whom have been fighting on FARC's side since 2001. Recently her diary was recovered by Government soldiers, and within it she tells of her life with the communist rebels.

Earthquake in Colombia

A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit the South West region of Colombia, causing some damage but no reported lost of lives. Lets hope that is the last of the earthquakes in this region.

I am in Huaraz now, another region known for it´s deadly earthquakes. The last one in the 1970´s killed half of this town´s residents and caused massive damage to both the city and the landscape.
